Welcome back!
We have now completed our visit to the Australian Museum. Think about what you saw, explored and discovered in the First Nations gallery.
What do you remember about Sea Country? What did you learn about the relationship between people and Country? Did anything surprise you?
Look at the images below from our visit. Use them to help you recall what you observed and learned.
Each group choose one or two photos taken by your group during the visit to share your ideas and what you have learned.

Activity 1: Share Your Group’s Favourite Photo!
1. Work in your group and look at the photos you took during the museum visit.
2. Choose 1–2 photos that your group found: interesting, surprising, meaningful
3. Talk together and decide:
--What does the photo show?
--Why did your group choose this photo?
--What did you learn from it?
4. Share your photo and ideas with the class on Padlet.

Activity 2: Learning Experience Create a Group Weaving Net
In this activity, there are 2 parts. Part 1 is a group task. Part 2 is an individual task. Please read each part carefully!
Instructions
Firstly, work in your group to create a small weaving net using recycled materials.
- Choose up to three colours from the materials provided.
- Your net should be at least 20cm × 20 cm and no larger than 50 cm × 50 cm.
- Use the fabric strips prepared from recycled clothing (from the previous lesson), along with other materials such as plastic bags or leftover string.
Part 1: Group Task
- Work together to weave your net.
- Choose a group name and symbol (provided: shell, fish, turtle, wave, leaf or water drop).
- Discuss how your net connects to what you learned about Sea Country and caring for the environment.
Class Display
When your group finishes, your net will be joined with other groups’ nets to create a larger class display (connected by the teacher).
This represents:

- caring for our environment

Part 2: Individual Reflection
Everyone will write 2-3 sentences on a sticky note ( Teacher will provide sticky notes).
You can write about:
- what you were thinking about while weaving
- what you learned from your group member
- what you learned about Sea Country
- how people can care for the environment
